We are blessed to have a wonderful group of pastors who bring a variety of gifts to the service of our congragation.

Patrick Preheim, Co-Pastor

I was raised on a small farm near the town of Henderson, Nebraska (USA).  After a B.A. in history, a year of voluntary service, three years of Divinity study, and a marriage, my wife Patty and I spent ten years in Minneapolis, Minnesota co-pastoring Faith Mennonite Church.   In 2007 we relocated to Saskatoon.  Since then I have been shovelling snow, enjoying my bike commute to church, and feeding my wife with the best locally harvested produce in the world.  Patty continues her ministry as chaplain at the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern.

Anita Retzlaff, Co-Pastor

I am an Alberta native and as a young child moved with my parents to several small communities in Saskatchewan and three states in the USA.  After attending RJC I moved to Saskatoon to attend the University of Saskatchewan, became a member of this congregation in 1975 and have remained here ever since.  As I worked on two graduate degrees at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon my work also commenced here at Nutana Park Mennonite Church on a part-time basis. I have moved through a full-time call to the present at which time I am working 3/4 time.  I have two grown children and love to talk, walk, cook, garden, read and travel with my husband Ken Warkentin.

Sara Unrau – Youth

My involvements with youth began as a camp counsellor at Shekinah Retreat Centre which later lead to my role as Summer Camp Director and School Programmer. Following these opportunities I was involved in leading the youth group from St. John’s Lutheran Church that outreached to the Colonsay and Viscount areas. These experiences have nurtured a love for connecting and working with youth which I find deeply enriching.
In my free time I enjoy playing soccer both competitively and recreationally as well as dabbling in artistic pursuits. I also find great joy in leaving everything behind to spend time camping with my husband.
Along with family and friends, places such as Mount Royal Mennonite Church, Rosthern Junior College, Shekinah Retreat Centre and Nutana Park Mennonite Church have been instrumental in shaping and fostering my spiritual upbringing for which I feel very blessed.
