Intergenerational Activity Nights – December Theme: Christmas

Sign-up sheet in the Education Wing. Possible nights are Wednesday or Thursday. The event will be on the same night each week. Registration deadline is November 20 for the entire series. Indicate if you need to miss a week. No cost, no take homes.

  • Week 1 Create decorations for church Christmas banquet on Dec. 20.
  • Week 2 Create a Christmas production to include in the choir Christmas program on Dec. 13.
  • Week 3 Baking treats to share at the Christmas banquet on Dec. 20.

November 27, 28, & 29 at 7 pm

  • Theatre of the BEAT presents This Will Lead to Dancing; Wildwood Mennonite Church. Admission by donation.

November 28

  • 2 pm - 5 pm – Barbara and Jake Ens are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a come and go tea on here at NPMC. There will be a short program at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary. Everyone is welcome.

December 2

  • 7:30 pm – Candle Light Service at Knox United Church; light a “Memorial Candle” and place a ribbon on the “Tree of Remembrance” in memory of your loved ones.

December 4

  • 7:30 pm – Musical Jam Session; lounge. Bring your instruments and voices for an evening of singing popular songs.

December 4 & 12

  • 7:30 pm – A Buncha Guys Christmas Concerts with the Friesen Family Band – Fri. Dec. 4 7:30 pm at Knox United Church, Saskatoon. Sat. Dec. 12 7:30 pm at Shekinah Retreat Centre. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Tickets are $5.00 each—from McNally Robinson Book Sellers, any of the Guys, or at the door. An offering will be taken for Shekinah Retreat Centre.

December 6

  • 2:30 pm – The Saskatoon Men’s Chorus will be presenting its Advent Concert, Carols Everywhere at Grace Westminster United Church. General admission is $20, seniors and students $15, and free for children under 12. Guest musicians are Louella Friesen and Audrey Falk Janzen. See Lynn Driedger for tickets.
  • 7:30 pm – Rosthern Junior College Choir Concert; Knox United Church. Admission is free; a collection will be taken in support of RJC. Everyone is welcome.

December 8

  • 1:30 pm – Women’s Coffee & Conversation time; lounge.

December 12

  • 7:30 pm – A Buncha Guys Christmas Concerts with the Friesen Family Band – at Shekinah Retreat Centre. Doors open at 6:45 pm. Tickets are $5.00 each—from McNally Robinson Book Sellers, any of the Guys, or at the door. An offering will be taken for Shekinah Retreat Centre.

December 13

  • Worship at 10:30 am – note time change. Potluck -- A-H, bring salad and dessert , help with set-up; I-Z, bring casserole, help with clean-up.

December 18

  • Rosthern Junior College Christmas Concert in the school auditorium. A time of refreshments will follow the concert. Everyone is welcome.

December 19

  • 7:30 pm – Station Singers presents Sing We Now of Christmas at Station Arts Centre, Rosthern. Tickets ($20 adults, $10 students, $5--12 & under) from Station Arts.

December 20

  • 4:30 pm – Christmas Banquet at NPMC - Social at 4:30 pm, supper at 5:30 pm. Cost: $20-18 yrs & up; $10-ages 10-17; Free-10 & under. Sign up in foyer by Dec. 10.
